Background
From her NCLGA biography (self-reported): moved to Chetwynd in 2006, originally from Malcolm Island, licensed realtor since 2012, and past president of the Chetwynd Rotary Club.[5] Her disclosure lists four income sources: realtor with Royal LePage Aspire Realty, Chetwynd councillor, administrative assistant in the office of Conservative MP Bob Zimmer, and painting instructor.[3]
She lives in the District of Chetwynd, which is not part of Area E.[4] Candidates do not have to live in the area they run in.[6]
Electoral history
- 2022: acclaimed to Chetwynd council.[1]
- 2026: also a candidate for Chetwynd council, where six candidates are running for six seats; the District and Energeticcity.ca report the council as acclaimed.[2][7]
- Area E is her first contested race.
The Local Government Act bars holding more than one elected office "in the same local government"; Chetwynd and the PRRD are separate local governments. Holding both is Likely legal, but we could not confirm it.[6]
Record and public statements
- NCLGA director-at-large since 2025.[8]
- As a Chetwynd councillor (spot check of minutes, not a full review): moved a letter to the Ministry of Transportation on the Wabi Hill intersection as a "safety concern" (April 2025); no recorded opposed votes found.[9]
- On the Klinse-za park expansion (July 2024): "I feel like we do need to be involved in some consultation, and I hope that the ministry sees and hears us and doesn't leave us out."[10]
- Energeticcity.ca reported her view that the Human Rights Commissioner's "Chetwynd Brief" was not comprehensive and was damaging to the community (August 2024).[11]

Promises and delivery
No promises to check. She was acclaimed to Chetwynd council in 2022 and 2026 without a published platform,[1][2] and has not published one for Area E.
What the record shows
Facts. The only Area E candidate with elected experience: acclaimed twice to Chetwynd council and on the NCLGA board. A realtor who also works in the local MP's office. Lives in Chetwynd, outside Area E.
Our reading (inference, not fact). If she wins she would likely hold a Chetwynd council seat and the Area E board seat at once. Chetwynd already appoints its own director to the board, so voters may ask how she would represent rural Area E separately from the town.
Questions worth asking. Will she keep both seats? How would she handle real-estate files and rezonings in Area E? Where does she stand on the Area E water and Jackfish Lake referendums?
