Background
From his campaign announcement (self-reported): he has lived in Pouce Coupe for 16 years and is raising his family there. "I'm a carpenter by trade and my work has taught me the importance of hard work, accountability, problem-solving, and—perhaps most importantly—working together to get the job done." His wife, Pam, is a member of the Pouce Coupe Library Board.[1]
He does not appear in the Village minutes from 2020 to 2026. No previous candidacy was found.
2026 campaign and platform
Announced September 12, 2026 in the Pouce Coupe Uncensored Facebook group (self-reported): "I've decided to put my name forward for Pouce Coupe Council because I believe our community deserves strong, practical and approachable leadership. I want to listen to residents, understand the issues that matter to them and work collaboratively toward solutions that benefit Pouce Coupe as a whole." Also: "I'm not running for council because I think I have all the answers, I'm running because I believe in listening, working together and being willing to put in the work to make our Village stronger."[1]
His slogan: "Local Roots. Stronger Community. By Working Together." The post names no specific policies on taxes, water and sewer, or other issues.[1]
News coverage names him as seeking a council seat (Energeticcity.ca)[3] and as a "contender" (The Broken Typewriter).[4]
What the record shows
Facts. A carpenter and 16-year resident running on a listening-and-collaboration message, with no record in Village minutes and no specific policy positions yet.
Our reading (inference, not fact). His pitch, practical leadership and working together, reads as a response to the council's 3-2 split, but he has not said where he would stand on it.
Questions worth asking. Where does he stand on tax increases and paying for the water and sewer plan? His wife sits on the Library Board, which receives Village funding: would he declare a conflict on library budget votes? The October 1 forum is the first chance to hear from him.
