Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Accounting), Far Eastern University. A former Jollibee restaurant manager, he arrived in Dawson Creek on January 15, 2009 under the Foreign Worker Program, became a permanent resident in 2012 and a citizen in 2016. He has been a support worker with Independence Networking Services for about nine years.[2] Two terms as president of the KALIPI Filipino-Canadian Association; active at Notre Dame parish and liaison for immigrant families at Notre Dame School; Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus; Rotary volunteer; Tourism Advisory Committee member. He is the first councillor of Filipino or Asian descent in Dawson Creek.[2] ## Electoral history 2022: first run, elected fourth of eleven with 1,080 votes (48.5 percent).[1] His 2022 announcement: "If you will allow me to represent you in the City Council, I will advocate Representation and Diversity... Though I am a newbie, I will make sure I will work."[3] ## Council record, 2022 to 2026 - **Attendance.** 109 of 116 meetings (7 absences), including the October 14, 2025 meeting that declared the drought State of Local Emergency. - **Motions.** Fewest motions moved on council (about 52); seconded 311. - **His own initiatives.** Revitalizing the welcome signs and the Mile 0 post and adding a surveyor statue ($100K added to the 2023 capital budget); a "sticker post" park at NAR Park;[4] two road-safety motions defeated in September 2023 (a flashing crosswalk at NLC, a four-way stop at 15th Street and 115th Avenue);[5] a flag-policy amendment so the Philippine flag flies each June;[6] multicultural artwork on bridges (deferred to a public-art policy); lighting a landmark for the 75th anniversary of Philippine-Canada relations; waiving transit fares on federal election day (2025). - **Recorded opposed votes.** Against the January 28, 2026 budget package (with Parslow).[7] Against forgiving the $75K Kiwanis Performing Arts Centre loan (January 2026, with Parslow). His page cross-posted a KALIPI meet-and-greet for Kyle MacDonald in September 2026, which suggests alignment (inference).[12] ## 2026 campaign No written platform as of September 21. The commitment. All the works. Busy but fulfilling to help and know the community more."[12] ## What the record shows **Facts.** The least active mover on council. His agenda has been Filipino-community, multicultural, beautification and small traffic-safety items. In 2026 he paired with Parslow as a fiscal-caution vote against the budget package and the loan forgiveness, but voted for the final tax rate. **Our reading (inference, not fact).** A frugal, community-events councillor rather than a policy driver, and candid about the learning curve. **Questions worth asking.** Which water option does he support?
